Infrastructure
The college lacked satisfactory infrastructure with regards to its facilities. While the classrooms were adequately clean, there were some limitations. Classroom learning was enhanced by the availability of projectors, yet some areas needed improvement. The laboratory maintenance was commendable, contributing positively to the learning environment. The library boasts an extensive collection of books categorised into Ayurveda, Unani, and Modern subjects, with counts of 11240, 8750, and 4363 books, respectively. Additionally, there are donated books marked as D/2372. Operating hours for the library are from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM, offering a conducive environment for learning and research.
The seating area can accommodate up to 50 students comfortably. The primary objective of the library is to serve as a resource hub, supporting education, research, and knowledge enrichment for its members. Access to the library premises is granted exclusively to individuals holding valid Identity Cards/Library Cards from the college.
The Reading Hall can be accessed by those with Identity Cards from the college. However, entry beyond the Issue Counter into the Main Library is restricted due to its closed-access nature. Under this system, patrons are responsible for bringing their reading materials and signing the issue register while submitting their Library/I. Cards to the Librarian.
Upon completing their reading, members are required to return the materials to the library staff for proper stacking. It’s important to note that books and journals borrowed from the library cannot be taken beyond the Issue Counter. Reference books, being an invaluable resource, are designated for use within the library premises and cannot be checked out.
All library transactions are suspended 15 minutes after the scheduled opening time and 15 minutes before the scheduled closing time. The administration retains the right to request any user violating library rules or failing to carry a valid library/i. card to exit the premises. The library staff may verify I cards at any point, and members are kindly requested to cooperate.
While reminders about overdue books will be posted on the library notice board, patrons are encouraged to remain vigilant to avoid incurring overdue fines. The library functions as a supportive space for education, research, and knowledge acquisition, upholding a set of guidelines to ensure a conducive learning environment for all members.
