About “JAGRITI” Women Development Cell of Bharati College, University of Delhi
The Women’s Development Cell, Bharati College, University of Delhi aims at encouraging women’s studies, ensuring equity and addressing women social, political and economic issues in society and at the university level. Our focus is to make students aware about women centric issues and the significance of the differences between feminists and the feminazi. We encourage women to be self-reliant and economically independent. We are nurturing young minds and helping them to pave their way to grow into balanced and better human beings.
EVENTS
- #FreedomHair Campaign led by Pantene partnered with Sattva – 27th January,2020.Jagriti, the women’s development cell of Bharati College, University of Delhi on 27th January organized an interactive session for the students to discuss about their ideas of freedom in seminar hall.
- Financial Planning; A Lucrative Career by International College of Financial Planning, Bajaj Capital Group Co. – 6th March,2020 – the team of Jagriti (women’s development cell) of Bharati College, University of Delhi decided to organise a session in this regard to aware students about future in financial planning. And, an interactive session on Financial Planning – A Lucrative Career by International College of Financial Planning, Bajaj Capital Group Co. held on 6th March, 2020 in seminar hall.
- Experience Sharing talk by Award Winning Entrepreneur Madhu Raj – 6th March,2020-An award winner entrepreneur, Mrs. Madhu Raj and her team took an initiative to utilise the waste biodegradable materials in making useful products. And they sell these products at very low non- profitable rates. We, the team of Jagriti, women’s development cell, Bharati College being in support of such creative ideas, making best out of waste and pollution free environment, organized a display of variety of their products on 6th March,2020.
ACTIVITIES
The Jagriti team remains active throughout the year, holding inter college and intra college competitions and workshops, film screenings, conferences, seminars, webinars and discussions on gender issues, annual fest, street plays, students camps and visits to various places like IIT Delhi-NDTV, safety of women in the public, domestic and private domains and much more!. Every year the WDC team consisting of both students and teachers organizes more than a dozen events. Main aim of our activities is to help women realise their full potential.
