Laboratory L1 is primarily focused on experiments related to Mechanics, Electricity and magnetism, Solid-State Physics, and Thermal phenomena. It features a diverse array of experiments including pendulums, flywheels, Sextants, and various bridges like Carey Foster, Anderson, and De’Sauty. The Solid-State experiments encompass critical concepts such as the Hall Effect, BH Curve, e/m, Four Probes, Stefan’s constant, and PE Curve.
Additionally, the lab is equipped with high-precision CROs, measurement devices like IC testers, multimeters, and function generators, as well as audio oscillators. Various optical instruments such as telescopes and microscopes are available, and the lab even includes amenities like a refrigerator and microwave.
Laboratory L2
Laboratory L2 is divided into three main areas: the Semi-Dark Room, the Dark Room, and the Research Arena. The Semi-Dark Room houses high-quality Ballistic galvanometers, and the Dark Room contains Spectrometers with a least count of 10″ for conducting experiments related to interference and diffraction, such as Newton’s rings and the hydrogen spectrum. The Research Arena is equipped with a high-quality optical bench, a Fiber Optic kit, lasers, and setups for elliptically polarised light.
These facilities are instrumental in supporting both students and faculty in their research endeavours, contributing to innovation projects funded by the University of Delhi, as well as externally funded projects from entities like IUAC, NASI, and the Delhi Chapter, along with self-funded projects. Laboratory L3
Laboratory L3 is dedicated to Electronics experiments, featuring high-precision CROs with built-in function generators, 8085 microprocessors, various digital electronics components, and transistors such as BJT, FET, and UJT. It also offers kits for amplitude modulation, along with work board kits that include built-in 5V and dual 12V power supplies, which were designed by the faculty.
Zoology Lab
The Department of Zoology is equipped with a range of essential scientific instruments and facilities to support both academic and research activities. Among the equipment available are a UV-visible spectrophotometer, a centrifuge, a laminar flow hood, gel electrophoresis units, a UV trans-illuminator, a microtome, a vertical autoclave, a B.O.D. incubator, a deep freezer capable of maintaining temperatures ranging from -17°C to -240°C.
