Kirori Mal College (KMC) was established in 1954 by the University of Delhi and is one of the oldest colleges in Delhi. It has a legacy of providing quality education to students from all over India and abroad. History of Kirori Mal College
Kirori Mal College is a renowned constituent college of the University of Delhi, located on the North Campus of the university. The college was established in 1954 and is named after a prominent educationist and social reformer, Pandit Kirori Mal. It has become one of the most sought-after institutions for higher education in the National Capital Region.
The college started with just one academic program—Bachelor of Arts (BA) with 280 students enrolled in its inaugural batch under the leadership of Professor T.N. Madan as its first Principal. Within a decade, it extended its academic programs and departments to Psychology, Economics, History, and Political Science as well as Science streams like Mathematics and Chemistry, eventually leading to an expansion that offered BSc honours, post-graduate courses and research degrees such as MPhil and PhD in various fields.

In 2016, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council awarded the college a CGPA of 3.54 (A++), placing it third among all colleges in Delhi University.
