About NCC – National Cadet Corps (JAZBA) of Daulat Ram College
The National Cadets Corps at Daulat Ram College (DRC) offers stimulated and disciplined adventure to its cadets. We strongly adhere to the motto ‘Unity and Discipline’. Under the guidance of Lieutenant Dr Suparna Jain Thakur, Associate NCC officer at our college, the group of 160 cadets are achieving new heights. Every year, the cadets actively participate in various national camps and competitions, such as Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), Advanced Learning Camp (ALC), Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) and Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat (EBSB) to name a few. Cadets of DRC have been securing gold medal in CATC from past many years. Our cadets also get the opportunity to participate in trekking camps such as Kanchan Surya Darjelling Baghan Sikkim Trek and Ajmer Trek. In the past one year, during the pandemic, our cadets actively participated in NCC yogdaan by distributing masks and food to migrant workers, running a covid helpline for procuring trustworthy contacts for oxygen cylinders in times of crisis and volunteering in covid vaccination drive of the government. The cadets at the same time also participated in online webinars and conferences related to defence and SSB preparation. In the upcoming academic year, we aim to provide a more fruitful experience for our cadets by organising inter-college competitions and events under ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. Also, each cadet would be motivated to actively participate in various online and offline camps organised by NCC. At DRC we also organise an annual NCC festival – ‘Buland’ which incorporates inter college competitions. It provides our cadets an opportunity for healthy competition and to display their talents and skills.
