Over the years it has produced some of India’s most renowned citizens including Union Home Minister Mrs Sushma Swaraj, World Bank President Mr Nirbhay Sharma and industrialists Dr Brij Kishore Prasad & Mr Anand Sethi among many others.
In 1964 when Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated the permanent building of the college amidst an enormous crowd he said ‘I want this college to be at par with the best colleges all over the world’ thus signifying the importance that he placed on Ramjas College in the development of Education from India. Ramjas continued to flourish under the able guidance of his daughter Indira Gandhi, who made sure that its reputation continues to grow worldwide year after year.
