History
Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women was established in 1985 and is situated in the heart of West Delhi. It is affiliated with the University of Delhi and offers a variety of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.The college was founded by Shri Ramchandra Tandon and named after Chaman Lal Rekhi, one of the founders of the All India Bankers Association (AIBEA). The college serves as a centre for higher education focusing on applied science based on practical knowledge and applications rather than theory. This makes it ideal to always stay ahead in the existing job market, as well as make it easy to adapt to newer technologies.
Over the years, Shaheed Rajguru College has emerged as one of the finest educational institutes in New Delhi, catering to more than 1,300 students every academic year from all backgrounds. The college is supported by highly experienced faculty members, modern labs, a library with hundreds of books belonging to a vast number of subjects ranging from Arts & Humanities to Science & Technology, student-run clubs for extracurricular activities & interactive events such as seminars & workshops conducted by renowned speakers from various fields. Various Government sponsored & Alumni backed scholarships are also available for meritorious students covering almost all departments covered by this institution.
