- Encourage participation: During class time, it is important to facilitate an atmosphere which encourages student participation. Instructors should ask questions and promote discussion in order to encourage students to ask their own questions and provide thoughtful feedback.
- Provide activities that engage all students: Instructors should provide a variety of activities for different types of learners. This will ensure that all types of learners are engaged in learning and can successfully understand the lessons being taught.
- Integrate technology in learning: Technology can be used in multiple ways to make valuable contributions to learning, such as online discussion boards or assignment tracking systems. Technology also helps track individual student progress, providing relevant achievements and feedback – inspiring greater engagement with assigned tasks and topics of study!
- Create a safe environment: Ensure the security of personal information during class by implementing an agreement between class members outlining precautions they need to take regarding online behaviour, language usage, and personal information sharing outside the classroom.
