Swami Shraddhanand College is a leading institute providing quality education to our students. Located in the heart of North Delhi, we have a vibrant and diverse campus which offers a wide range of courses for students from all backgrounds. Swami Shraddhanand College was established in 1951 by Late Hon’BLE Maharaja Agarsainji as an autonomous college affiliated with the University of Delhi. Since then, we have been continuously striving for excellence with our committed faculty and innovative curriculum. Our aim is to shape responsible citizens through value-based education that fosters critical thinking, creativity and character-building skills.
Our college offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in fields such as Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management Studies and Applied Sciences. We also offer various add-on programmes such as – Computer Application Courses, Performing Arts Courses, Employment Centred Programmes etc., to meet the needs of our student population. In addition to academics, we have a wide variety of co-curricular activities that enhance leadership skills and promote extracurricular development among our students. At Swami Shraddhanand College, we believe that learning should be an enriching experience. History
Swami Shraddhanand College was founded in 1967, as an Arya Samaj Institution, with its main objective being to provide higher education primarily to the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya’s rural population. Initially, the college had a humble start with two science courses and two humanities courses. With time, this institution has achieved meteoric heights of success and has established itself as one of the most successful colleges at Delhi University. Swami Shraddhanand College is now offering twenty-seven undergraduate and eight postgraduate programmes.
The college nurtures a diverse student-lecturer pool from different educational backgrounds to ensure the holistic growth of the students. The college also supports students through stipends, scholarships and other awards for meritorious and deserving students. Moreover, it offers support for placements, internships, foreign collaborations etc.Swami Shradhanand College is proud of its alumni who have made immense contributions nationally as well as globally by spreading education to all and the philosophy of non-violence preached by their role model – Swami Vivekananda.
Also, over the years the college has been taking numerous steps in order to empower women like organizing yoga classes, SHEROES forums with support from Central University Grants Commission (UGC), Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), etc., which promotes women’s safety on campus as well as education on gender equality within homes and communities. Recently in 2021, the college won four awards at Annual Inter-University Cultural Festival ADVAITA (2020). These awards include the ‘Best college film’ award won by Smriti Ranjan Rath while Lasya Banerjee and Kirtan Utsav Kar were given appreciation letters for their extraordinary performances during the festival.

- Avoid engaging in any type of disruptive behaviour that is distracting to other participants or speakers during Frame events.
- Arrive on time for sessions and be ready to engage with the materials presented during Frame activities in order to maximize the learning potential for everyone involved in the event.
